Pentecost Picnic today at noon all are welcome to join in food, games, and fun!

ReVision Plan: Catch the Wind of the Spirit. Copies are available in the Fireside Room and on the web site of our new ReVision plan. This vision for the near future of St. Mary’s is our plan for the spread of the Word in the Elk Grove area.

Filipino Fiesta!—On Sunday, June 29th at 6 p.m. (after the 4:30 p.m. worship service), we are having a Filipino Fiesta. This will include dancing by the Sinag-Tala dance group, a karate demonstration by our own Rudy Reynon and Evan Fong (both national champions), a pabitin (like a piñata), roast pig, and great Filipino food. Plan to attend and pass the word about this!

Fireworks! A sign-up sheet is now available in the Fireside Room. Pick a time and come out and help in the stand. There are many openings so sign up with a friend and come on out! Contact Peggy Ross (714-3889) for more information.

Entertainment Books are on sale to support this summer’s Vacation Bible School. The books are ½ price for the measly sum of $20! VBS will be led by Heidi Pugh and her team. Contact Mary Beth Voskuil (425-1614) for more information.

Episcopal Foundations—Learn about the Episcopal Church—our history, worship, and theology. The class is for anyone who wants to learn more, and especially for anyone who wants to be confirmed in the Episcopal church. The final class meets this Thursday evening at the church building at 7:00 p.m., with childcare provided. The instructors for the class are Ron Mendleski (421-5022) and Fr. Ray Hess (753-9939).

Liturgical Arts Committee—We are forming a Liturgical Arts Committee to do planning for improving our current worship space and for our coming new worship space. If you would like to serve on this committee, please sign up in the Fireside Room or see Lynn Holman (834-2773) or Father Ray (753-9939).

New Roof for Peace and Good Voyage Church—Our Outreach Committee has started a fund raising project to help the parish of Peace and Good Voyage in the Philippines to get a much needed new roof for their church building. The total cost for them will be about $5,000. If you would like to donate for this, make a check out to St. Mary’s Church and be sure to notate the check clearly for “Peace and Good Voyage Roof.” Contact Coline McNeil (682-0347) for more information.

Daughters of the King meet regularly on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 pm. The next meeting is Tuesday, June 10th due to the state elections on the 3rd. Our meetings consist of praying for our clergy & parish members, a short bible study, and DOK services. Come and serve the Lord with us. For more information contact Omera Peoples, President. Brotherhood of St. Andrew will hold their regularly monthly meeting on Friday, June 20th at 6:00 p.m. for a BBQ dinner, fellowship, prayer, and a bible study. All men and boys are invited to attend. Please bring $40 for your 2008 dues if you haven’t done so already and $9.00 for a study book if you would like one. Contact Mark Voskuil for more information. (689-1099)

Forward Day by Day for May, June, and July are now available in the tract rack in the hallway by the nursery. They are in both regular and large print versions. Pick up your copy today.
Children’s Nursery The nursery is available today from 8:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. for children up through kindergarten.

Nickels & Noses—as of the end of April, our average Sunday attendance this year is 133 compared to 105 last year. Our budgeted pledged income through March was $60,814 and we have received $59,379. Year-to-date through March our pledged income is behind our budget by $1,434.75 .

Name Tags are available from the church office. Just let the office know that you would like one and we’ll have it for you next week. I only have 6 left so get your today!

St. Mary’s Prayer List is on the bulletin board in the Noah Room. If you would like to add a name to the prayer list for this month, please add it today. There are lists for “Healing”, “Special Circumstances”, “Thanksgivings”, and for the deceased. This list is redone at the beginning of each month.
