About CommUnity…
CommUnity uses contemporary prayers, music, videos, and skits to provide an additional sensory experience which brings the message of Jesus Christ into our present day lives.
CommUnity strives to be a worship experience that provides an opportunity for anyone to come and worship in the way that they feel most comfortable. CommUnity believes that our Lord is present with us always and that God desires nothing more than to have a relationship with each of us, and most often relationships are built when people are comfortable. Therefore the desire is to create worship that reaches those who already believe and those who want to believe and allows for bridges to be built and hearts to be healed.
CommUnity, at first glance, may not appear to be true to the Episcopal tradition. But CommUnity does hold strongly to its Episcopal roots. CommUnity does, in fact, have nearly all of the components of the Rite II service. These elements, however, are not in the exact same order but this is part of the fun, seeing if you can recognize the familiar elements. Lastly, CommUnity is striving to bring Christ’s Amazing Love to the greater community. CommUnity is continuing to work toward being an active and visible example of what God has called each of us to be God’s Hands and Feet in our world. CommUnity takes our baptismal vows seriously and, with God’s help, will continue to seek and serve Christ in ALL persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves and striving for justice and peace among all people by respecting the dignity of every human being.
CommUnity is blessed to worship with others and is always interested in visiting. Please contact us if you are interested in having CommUnity join you in doing God’s work anywhere. community.st.marys@gmail.com
When our worship ends, our service is just beginning…please join us!
God is good, all the time!
